http://ugresearch.ku.edu/student/share/symposium/cover-contest The Center for Undergraduate Research is soliciting artwork for the cover of the program for the 18th annualUndergraduate Research Symposium to be held at KU on April 25, 2015. The design will appear on the program for the day’s events, as well as promotional materials associated with the Symposium. The winner of the cover art competition will also receive $100. The Center often uses the phrase “Claim your Curiosity” in marketing to students; the winning design will communicate this spirit of curiosity that is at the heart of undergraduate research. Your submission could include text (with the title of the event, etc.) as part of the design, or it could be a stand-alone image that we will then incorporate into a poster layout for our promotional purposes. The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an annual event at KU that celebrates the diversity of undergraduate research and creative activities on campus. Students present their research and creative scholarship to others in the Lawrence community. Any undergraduate student at KU is eligible to participate in this competition. Submissions for the cover design should be saved as an electronic document (pdf, jpg, png, etc.) and sent via the online submission form by noon on Friday, February 27th. If you have any questions about the Cover Art Competition or the Undergraduate Research Symposium, contact us at [email protected]. Rolling Deadline
